Blessing Day

Happy Birthday Mitch! We love you!

In January I decided to take a family history class. We were learning about the new family search program. The instructor said that once a member of the church passed away you had to wait 1 year to do their work and if it wasn't done in 7 years the system automatically sent it to be done. I started wondering what would happen to Mitch. We were told he didn't need his temple work done. I asked my instructor and she said to go to the temple and ask the temple recorder. On our next trip to the temple we met with the recorder. He said that Mitch's work needed to be done that he especially needed to be baptized and confirmed because he would need the Holy Ghost to be with him in his work on the other side. I told my parents and we set a date to go do Mitch's work.

On Saturday, March 26th (the day before his birthday) our family went to the Draper Temple and completed the work that Mitch needed. It was such a great experience. The temple workers were so helpful. I don't think they knew what a special person we were doing the work for but they gave us some pretty special treatment. We got to cut in line at the baptismal font. They stopped everything so that our family could be next to the font to witness the baptism and then they did the confirmation right next to the font. After that we had to go back upstairs for the rest of the time in the temple and a worker took us through a special walk way for temple workers so that we wouldn't have to go out in the cold. Everyone was so sweet and made the experience even better.

I know that Mitch is happy about what was done for him and now he can enjoy the blessings that the temple brings.

Three Generations

For Stockton's first day to church we thought it would be fun to have Stockton, Dad and Papa all in the same tie. Don't they look great?!?

PHOTO SHOOT

Stockton is here!

On Sunday Feb. 6th at 9 pm I was admitted to the hospital to be given a medication to help me dialate and to prep me for inducing the following morning. I was scheduled to be induced at 6 am on Monday morning. At 2 am I went into labor. I tried to go without an epidural but my contractions were right on top of each other with no break in between. At 4 am I decided I couldn't take anymore so I told the nurse I wanted an epidural. She said the anesthesiologist would take 45 minutes to get to the hospital. At 4:45 am I finally got the epidural and it was HEAVENLY! At 6 am Trent, my mom, and my sister in-law, Glenda, came (Glenda was my dula or birthing coach. She is an OB

nurse). At 7:30 I started pushing. At my last ultrasound the baby was in the right position but he must have turned since that because he wasn't facing down. He was facing the side. That caused my hip to be pushed out of place a little and it took alot longer to push. At about 9:15 Dr. Smith came in and decided to use the vacuum.

At 9:30 am on Feb. 7th Stockton Miner Green was born. He weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and was 19 inches long. He was completely healthy and absolutely perfect in every way!
